Autumn/winter 2016 revisited – in video

If you read this blog with any degree of regularity then you probably prefer your content delivered this way, through the written word – but more and more web traffic these days is directed towards video.

If we’re to communicate with all our audiences effectively we have to meet that demand. Accordingly, back in November the wise council of elders that makes decisions on programmes at the IOP gave the go-ahead for a project to create a video diary of many of the wonderful things we do, and seconded one of our Education team, Dan, to work on this for two fifths of his time.

These are the first few videos.

Taking Control of Your Career as a Female Physicist

Cambridge University’s Dr Helen Mason gives the keynote talk at an IOP event designed to give career advice and guidance to female physicists.

An event in partnership with the other IOP – the Institute of Philosophy – uses food to whet visitors’ appetites for physics.

 

 

 

 

Awards dinner

The IOP’s annual awards dinner celebrates the best of physics from the past year – including some surprises from overseas for our Early-Career Award winners.

 

 

 

Chelmsford PhysicsFest

A big East Anglia Branch event brings together young children and older students for physics demonstrations and talks – including a headteacher rocking out over the physics musics.
