When I tell people I'm an aspiring physicist, they look at me like I'm crazy. They imagine pocket-protectored, high-pantsed recluses working alone in labs late into the night. Yet, organizations like the BSES prove this Dr. Frink persona false. Scientists go on some pretty sweet adventures, whether documenting life at Svalbard (maybe also looking for Dust?), searching for stars in Antarctica, or trekking through the grounds of active volcanos. In fact, scientists may be the most active and adventurous of all. Yes, I want to be a physicist. I'll take my test tubes and Arctic gear, please.
