Science goes to the Circus physics around the uk  During National Science & Engineering Week science and art merged at the Experience Changing Perspectives event as physics buskers filled the Circomedia Building in Portland Square, Bristol on 18th and 19th March 2011.

Between aerial displays of human anatomy, 11 undergraduate and postgraduate volunteers from the University of Bristol School of PhysicsBristol Centre for Functional Nanomaterials and the Bristol Centre for Complexity Science busked science style for school groups and members of the public.

Around 200 primary school students were entertained by balloon kebabs, expanding marshmallows and waterproof handkerchiefs on the Friday, to the overwhelming sound of laughter and bursting balloons.

On the Saturday the general public were in for a similar treat, not only did the sun shine all day, but IOP volunteers with bright orange experiments bags showed everyone who would stand still long enough a range of exciting physics tricks, engaging with about 130 people.
