Teenage girl comes out top in physics Advanced Highers
A teenage girl has scored top marks in Scotland in her Advanced Highers for both chemistry and physics. Former Firrhill High School student Katie Vokes, 18, beat around 1000 other students to score highest.
Katie, who is from Comiston, now studies maths at Durham University. She returned to her school yesterday for a presentation from the Royal Society of Chemistry and The Institute of Physics in Scotland in recognition for her achievement.
