Seven secondary school teachers who are to receive 2018 Teachers of Physics Awards from the IOP have been named by the Institute today.
The seven are: Cerys Corbett of St Joseph’s RC High School, Newport; Edith Goakes of Wimbledon High School, London; David Hobson of Loreto College, Dublin; Kevin Mosedale of Radley College, Abingdon; Michael Murray of Ayr Academy, Ayrshire; Andrew Notleyof Sponne School, Towcester; and Sam Skinner of The Cardinal Vaughan Memorial RC School, London.
Our Teachers of Physics Awards celebrate the success of secondary school teachers who, by their outstanding practice in the classroom, have raised the state of physics and science in schools.
Chris Shepherd, Teacher Support Manager at the IOP, said: “we are delighted to be able to honour these colleagues who each, in their own particular way, have made an outstanding contribution to the teaching of physics”.
