“Entangled diamonds blur quantum-classical divide”
Two diamonds have been made to share the quantum state known as entanglement; a feat which is usually observed in much smaller particles at lower temperatures. The findings, reported in the journal Science, blurs the divide between the classical and quantum worlds.
“Geoengineering techniques need more study, says science coalition”
More research on the risks and governance of geoengineering the planets climate by reflecting sunlight into space is needed, a grouping of science bodies and a green NGO have said, as the end of the first week of UN climate talks nears.
“Search for god particle is nearly over, as CERN prepares to announce findings”
Scientists from the two main experiments at CERN, ATLAS and CMS, have announced organised a seminar, to take place on 13 December, to discuss their results. To avoid bias, the two sets of researchers will not be comparing their results before the seminar.
