Eminent scientists lobby for scientific vision
In a letter to The Times, 28 fellows of the Royal Society have united to stress the need for political parties to find and express a vision for science in the UK during the general election. Their letter reads, “The primary aim of a new administration must be to retain a competitive edge in high-value-added activities….. It follows that a very high priority must be in education and training, in schools, colleges and universities, together with strong investment in research.”
