Chandrayaan finds water on the Moon

Chandrayaan, the Indian space satellite, has discovered traces of water in the soil on the Moon.  The findings corroborates evidence from earlier missions and increases the possibility of sustaining human life on the Moon.

NASA satellite shows disappearing glaciers

Nasa’s high-resolution ICESat (Ice, Cloud and Land Elevation Satellite) has shown that along both the Greenland and Antarctic coastlines, the glaciers and ice streams which for thousands of years have slowly carried ice into the sea, are now rapidly thinning, meaning they are speeding up in their flow.
