Tuition fees review criticised
Students, lecturers and the Liberal Democrats have all stepped out to criticise the new tuition fees review. The National Union of Students have branded the review a ‘cosy stitch-up’ while the University and College Union express their disappointment at the lack of employee representation on the review board.

Nuclear energy backlash and cost of carbon capture
After announcing the frast-tracking of new nuclear power plants, public discussion has been prompted around the virtues and, particularly, the safety of nuclear power plants. Meanwhile, in other energy related news, it has been announced that there will be a new levy on energy bills to make carbon capture and storage feasible.
