Chris Huhne, Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change has referred to his department as the “Department for Nuclear Legacy and Bits of Other Things” as he discovers a £4 billion black hole in unavoidable decommissioning and nuclear waste costs, while will leave his department with little financial scope to do anything else.
