UK physicists – don’t miss your opportunity to make physics news

The British Science Association’s media fellowship scheme is your opportunity to make physics news, apply now.

The British Science Association Media Fellowships give practising physicists the opportunity to spend three to eight weeks on a summer placement working with media hosts such as the Guardian, the Times and the BBC, working with them to produce accurate, well-informed news pieces about developments in science.

You will come away from the fellowship scheme better equipped to communicate your research to the public and colleagues and you will have learned how to work within the constraints of the media and develop writing skills that could make journal articles (and funding applications!) easier.

To apply, click here. The deadline for application is 2 March 2010 so don’t delay!
